Occupational Medicine / Workers' Compensation
No medical specialty requires as complex a data management system as occupational medicine and workers' comp. STIX eliminates the complexity and makes it easy for your staff to provide the proper care and treatment the first time. Employer requirements (protocols) are easily added and maintained, even using the employer's own forms, if desired. STIX includes a library of forms for many purposes, including federally-mandated physicals, such as CDL or FAA physicals.
For workers' comp, STIX charting templates include text not normally found in other EHRs, and can submit the forms electronically along with the comp claim. At each successive visit, STIX enables you to bring up the form from the previous visit, make changes relevant to the current visit, then save both the original and the revised forms.
If you are managing employee health for health care clients, STIX medical surveillance functions include a host of functions that simplify both record-keeping and reminders. You can document employee exposures and assign the patient to follow-up protocols that automatically schedule return visits per your wishes.
Employer billing is a snap with STIX, which also bills labs, MCOs and individual patients, such as self-pay physicals. The robust collections function enables your staff to re-bill automatically, send dunning letters if needed, and assign accounts to a "cash only" basis. Your staff will see alerts for these accounts, as well as for any patient whose case was declined for workers' comp.

Urgent Care
STIX is fast, period. The problem-oriented charting templates enable you and your staff to capture clinical data quickly and easily. For routine problems, such as otitis media, STIX Merlins enable you to complete an entire note, and select from a choice of your favorite meds, with just a few clicks – even before the patient is out the door. You can easily check for drug-drug or drug-allergy interactions, and submit prescriptions electronically to the patient's pharmacy, helping to reduce or eliminate adverse consequences for the patient or for you. The STIX links to online clinical decision support media enable you to find the help you need without leaving the electronic record. STIX enables you to edit or create charting elements we call wizards, and to use them repeatedly in various templates. Make a change in the element, and the change is carried over to every template where that element is used. Simple. Fast. Flexible. STIX works the way you work.
Primary Care
STIX includes a robust clinical record that enables you to see patient's clinical problems, current meds, allergies and history displayed on the left throughout the charting process. Notes from previous visits are readily accessible, as are any and all scanned documents stored in the patient's electronic chart. STIX offers a more robust view of patient data than can be achieved with a paper record. For example, you can graph vital signs or lab results over time, link real-time to various clinical decision support guidelines, and even set up care guidelines for individual patients. Once established, these guidelines will produce reminder alerts at the appropriate time, to ensure your patients receive the high quality care you want for them. Our existing providers have reported that STIX is easy to use and easy to learn. Its intuitive interface does not require you to follow a pre-determined path.
